Chloe Morgan seemed to have a lot of potential partners for her dance card. With the return of Jax to the show later this summer, a past relationship with Stefan and her recent date with now-thawed Stavros, the romantic possibilities seemed endless.

As it turns out, though, the character's possibilities apparently weren't as limitless.

According to show insiders, Tava Smiley (Chloe) has been let go. Smiley joined General Hospital in the spring of 1999. Smiley was hired by then-executive producer Wendy Riche.

Smiley's agent could not be reached for comment on this report. In mid-August, a GH spokesperson finally confirmed that Smiley's character was being written out due to "storyline reasons."
